Let's directly address the elephant in the room:

The 3 biggest disadvantages of being (primarily) an affiliate are:

  1. Having no USP and competing against all other affiliates who're promoting the same offer
  2. Not getting 100% but usually only 50% of the revenue generated
  3. Not getting the customer data

Fortunately, many digital offers allow us to purchase "license rights" in order to get 100% commissions throughout the entire offer funnel.

That's disadvantage number 2 out of the way - problem solved.

Unfortunately, there are not many affiliate offers out there that allow us to get our clients' data.

Why Offering Bonuses At All?#

We offer bonuses as affiliates for mostly 2 reasons:

  1. As pointed out in the intro, we need to have an USP in order to not compete with all other affiliates (we create our own "blue ocean")
  2. Conversion optimization - we simply generate more sales by offering bonuses than if we'd not offer them

We're seperating ourselves as affiliates by offering unique, valuable bonuses.

For bonuses the same "basic principles" apply that we already pointed out in the offer selection process:

Everything is value-driven.

That's why there's no point in offering low-value bonuses like outdated, unedited, or cheap and low-quality PLR products. (Private Label Rights)
